Since 1999, I’ve been involved in every part of the creative process behind media publishing, including reporting, writing, editing, posting, photography, design, and marketing.

I’m a versatile writer with a range of journalism and public affairs experience.

CurrentIy, I enjoy writing cover stories and main features for a growing list of magazines, including Thompson-Okanagan Trends, Boulevard, Innovation, Food & Wine Trails, and The Moving Guide. I’ve also published my own magazine, called the oz.

My background is in newspapers. I got my break in the early 2000s landing a role as the Interior BC correspondent for The Province. Since then, I’ve been published in some of the biggest dailies in Canada, covering national news as well as writing science, tech, and gaming stories on the side for fun. My writing appeared regularly in these newspapers and sources:

In 2014, I stepped into public affairs as a corporate communications advisor for utility FortisBC. There, I created communications plans, wrote press releases, offered strategic advice, spoke on behalf of the utility, and led communications on the smart electric meter rollout. I’ve consulted on public relations in provincial and federal elections, as well as with businesses in real estate and the cannabis sector.
